Mr. President:
The town hall meetings you have been hosting have been very carefully managed. The people that attend have been hand selected by your staff, and allowable questions carefully screened. How do I know? Because the questions and comments that arise are laughably out-of-synch with the questions and concerns that the majority of Americans I talk with express about government healthcare. In short, the healthcare town hall meetings are nothing more than propaganda.
On today’s Drudge Report and Fox News websites there were a variety of links to videos that show non-scripted town hall meetings held by senators and congressmen, that I believe are more reflective of how most American’s feel about your Health Care scheme. I would suggest you view them and take into consideration what the “silent” majority really think about your healthcare plan, not just the patsy’s you have selected to participate in your town hall propaganda shows.
Senator Arlen Specter (D – PA) Q&A
Congressman Tim Bishop (D – NY) protest
Congressman Lloyd Doggett’s (D – TX) meeting on Obamacare
Furthermore, an interesting video emerged which indicates that you are not being truthful with the American people about your goals for healthcare. Recently, you have been reassuring citizens that you are not striving for a single payer system, and don’t want to put private insurers out of business. Yet, this video which was posted on the Drudge Report website shows you, in your own words, describing that a single payer system is your ultimate goal but that it will take a while to achieve it. Listen closely, Mr. President: the majority of American’s don’t want socialized, universal, government health care! In case you can’t remember what you said here’s a link to a video that captured what you have said:

Allowing the government to take over complete control of our healthcare system will be the tipping point on our slide into a socialist state.
Allowing the government to take over complete control of our education system has brought us to this point.

You people are rather deluded- read my response to the scary tactics that are being used in these “town halls”. And btw, President Obama doesn’t vet his town hall attendees- that was President Bush .

I read your response to the protests, and it is utterly ridiculous. You claim that the grass roots movement against a socialist universal healthcare plan are about racism?!? You haven’t a clue. We live in a post-racial society. Many of my closest friends and business colleagues are not caucasian. I could care less whether the president, or anyone else for that matter, is black, yellow, brown, or white. What I do care about is that our country is being bankrupted by foolish politicians who are spending money like there is no tomorrow and pursuing socialist redistribution of wealth at ever opportunity. If they truly want reform, why aren’t they first going after some of the low-hanging fruit that is at the crux of our high health care costs, namely medical lawsuits? This is a scam, with the only purpose being to create more centralized government control of the economy. The government doesn’t run anything well. Medicaid and Medicare have been rampant with fraud for years! Social Security is insolvent. How does anyone expect the US government to do a better job at delivering health insurance and health care to its citizens? It hasn’t delivered for years on any of its other socialist programs. I would encourage every single person to email or call their elected officials and say “Enough is enough! Vote no on socialized medicine, or I’ll vote you out next election.” For those of us who don’t like Obama’s policies, this ridiculous health care scheme may end up being the best thing that has happened. It’s exposing how radical the democrat’s agenda is, which is starting to wake people up. I predict this will lead to a significant change in the way people vote in the next election.

Omg, you’ve got to be kidding me. Bush vetted his townhall meetings? Puhleeeze. He didn’t even have townhall meetings like this. Obama is still community organizing but on a national scale. They only allow people they preselect into those meetings. They screen all questions. Even the press has called them on this. Have you not seen the video of the press conference with Gibbs, the bumbling bafoon? If his townhall meeting in New Hampshire was open and honest, then how do you explain that there was not one dissenting voice in the room but dozens of opposition protestors all over the place outside the hall? It was on the news. How come none of them were allowed inside? Because he’s a coward and a hipocrite and wouldn’t know what to do if he actually had to speak to the people, for real, no teleprompters and no script. I’m willing to bet anyone that this fool hasn’t even read the Health Care Reform Bills for himself. I guarantee you that he doesn’t even know what they really say. He’s listening to his henchmen and following the script. He makes me ill. Shoot, none of them have read it. and apparantly neither have you. It’s online. Read it. The whole thing. And then try talking this junk. You won’t be able.

If you don’t know who Rick Scott is then you don’t know who is duping you. This is the false prophet. Scott is the money-changer you let into your temple. Scott is a big health care CEO (whose company by the way was fined $1.7 billion for fraud) who is financing the disruption of the town hall meetings. He is the temptor who has cause you to stumble into the gospel of hatred for your fellow man. His “salvation” (money) is to get you to serve corporate profits instead of your fellow man.
One Master said “Feed my sheep,” “As ye do to the least of these my brothers, you do unto me.” Perhaps you can appreciate how that would be served by universal health care?
The other “master” says, “shout them down,” and “voice your anger.” Does that really serve your mission to be the spreader of the Good News?
I truly feel sorry for good-hearted people who have been drawn into the hatred of political extremism and who honestly think they are serving Christ, when in fact they are serving corporate lobbyists. What a shame!

You left wingers are nuts. Sure, Rick Scott may be funding opposition messages to health care, but that doesn’t mean that the awakened silent majority and those who are showing up at town hall meetings are being funded or influenced by him. This would be akin to saying that those who push for increased bike lanes at a city hall meeting are being funded and influenced by Lance Armstrong. You people just don’t get that universal government healthcare is a bad idea, and that any relatively intelligent person with critical thinking skills will be opposed to it.

I am a stay-at-home mother of six. I homeschool my children. I attend a Baptist church weekly. I am a Christian and believe in the original intent of the founding fathers and in the rule of law and the upholding of the powers laid out in the Constitution. I am not funded by anyone but my husband. I am not coerced by the Republicans or any other bull junk the liberals are spewing. I am a patriot, a lover of my country and freedom and I’m sick and tired of these out of control liberal dogs in Washington from the White House to the Congress and the lame dog Republicans legislating more and more power to themselves and their friends, spending us and our prodigy into oblivian, and stealing our freedoms step by step, little by little, more and more with every bill they sign or Executive Order passed. This is the proverbial frog in the pot of water, temperature slowly rising, being cooked and too dumb to notice. Well, we here are NOT too dumb to notice. The people going to the Town Halls and raising hell are NOT too dumb to notice. They are Patriots all, lovers of country and freedom, finally awaken from their slumber and speaking out as they should have done long ago. I only pray it’s not too late. By the way, why isn’t anyone asking why the feds should be involved in this Health Care Issue in the first place. Where in the Constitution do they get the powers to involve themselves in this issue. The bigger problem is that this issue should be left to the states and each state should address it in their own legislatures and with their own citizens and come up with healthcare for their own poor who cannot afford to buy it for themselves, and take care of their own. And people who have healthcare already and don’t like it, well, we are FREE people and that means you can fire your doctor and hire a different one. You can cancel your Insurance and google it and find another company that is less expensive or has better coverage or lower deductibles or doesn’t have a preexisiting condition clause. Yes, they do exist. Just do the research and stop waiting for Big Brother to swoop down and take care of you. Geez, grow up already. And NO FREE HEALTH CARE TO NON-CITIZENS. Treat them, send the bill to their President, in their country, and then ship them back where they belong. Illegals are the biggest drain on our healthcare system that exists, followed by Tort, followed by…
